R & B – OMNIBUS, the 13th wave. May 2008
Research was conducted from 16 to 26 May 2008
On May, 16-26 2008 the specialists of Research & Branding Group conducted the thirteenth wave of the public opinion poll in Ukraine on socio-political issues of current importance. Data was collected by personal interviewing in 24 regions of Ukraine and Autonomy Crimea. Respondents were chosen by quota sampling representing the adult population of the country according to place of living (region), gender and age. The quota is composed of 2000 persons. The estimated average error amounts to +-2,2%.The dynamics of some data are represented in the press-release as results of some waves of the national research.

ATTITUDE TO POLITICIANS AND POLITICS
At the moment no political leader has got a positive balance of assessments of performance (negative assessments predominate over positive ones).
At the moment the Party of regions and BJuT are mostly supported by people. The Party of regions is mostly popular on the South-East of the country (42%), and BJuT – on the West and the Center (42% and 30% respectively).
In case the parliament election took place on the nearest Sunday, the entry barrier would be definitely overcome by the Party of regions and BJuT.
In case of the elections of the President in Ukraine on the nearest Sunday none of possible candidates would win in the first round. Ju. Timoshenko and V. Janukovich would come to the second round
LIFE OF PEOPLE, INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS, MORALTY
The respondents of all regions marked honesty and kindness as the most valuable human virtues.
The Ukrainian citizens mostly believe in their own strength and in God. At that the belief in own strength increase from the West to the South-East, and in God – from the South-East to the West.
ATTITUDE TO UKRAINE AND ABROAD
Most people in all Ukrainian regions don’t want to abandon their country for ever.
Among the reasons which can make people to leave Ukraine forever the representatives of all regions unanimously marked domestic reasons, offer of interesting and profitable job, and economic problems in the country.
